If you downloaded OOo from the official page, then checked the MD5 sum to ensure that it was the correct one, it is highly unlikely that the OOo install was the cause of any trojan infection. I would recommend checking any other software that you installed that day just to be sure. /paul On 12/2

Hi there, All the documents I save in Writer will only open up as a WordPad file. Even if I've made sure in the "save as type" box to set it as a word processing document, after it's saved it will only open up in WordPad. This is only an issue on one of my computers, on the other it works fine.

It sounds as though there may be several things going on here, not just one thing. There are many reasons that you could have started getting spam / broadband connections dropping - however not alot of this has to do with OpenOffice. As to OOo stability however - is there any error messages report
