hi all, does tapestry provide a text search functionality. i am trying to implement a text search function on a page and was hoping that perhaps there is some component i can use. has anyone else tried this before with tapestry? thanks.

This is clearly a garbage collection in action. Happened to me many times on Tomcat in development. You're running out of Perm space. Try increasing the perm size to its max (256M - I believe with XX:MaxPermZize=256m). It will still happen but less often (every 10 reloads?), it is possible to g

I am going to review the way I am using DBCP. I think I may be leaking connections somewhere. But then again that doesn't explain the spikes in cpu usage. I it were leaks the system would gradually become slower. As for your questions, I only retrieve text from the db via mysql stored procedures

You should be able to specify your date format using the translator binding prefix. e.g. The translator binding prefix has some unfortunate syntax limitations. If your date pattern contains problematic characters (e.g. a comma) then it will choke. If this is the case, define your transla
