is not sufficient as there are inter-module dependencies which are
handled by the init script by copying the Module.symvers file from
the vboxdrv directory to the vboxnetflt and vboxnetadp directory
before these modules are

Well, I'm not sure what went wrong with your installation. You can
try to fix the installation by doing
sudo dpkg --configure --pending
Make sure you terminated the kpackagekit mana
till run VBox 2.2.4 don't receive update
notifications but people running any 3.0.x version get notified when
a new 3.0.x version is released. We will change the notificatiton
mechanism in the near future to allow the user to choose the policy.

Sun/Oracle will decide from time to time of some feature will be
included in the OSE version or not. E1000, SATA and iSCSI are

What I said. We maintain the official packages. OSE packages
may behave differently. Please ask the corresponding maintainers.

If you are using the official packages from www.virtualbox.org then the
vboxdrv module is loaded at boot time. But as you are using the OSE version
it depends on the package if this is supposed to work or

case, check your BIOS settings or try to upgrade your BIOS.
64-bit guest support depends on VT-x/AMD-V with VirtualBox.
