Currently we are having our backup running on LTO2 drives with netbackup 7 application. We are going for new library with 2 LTO5 and 1 LTO4 drive which is HP MSL8096. We will use LTO5 drive for any new backup and will use LTO4 drive to restore the data backed up on LTO2 tapes. Please let me

As someone who has done a number of these conversions, they've gotten to be pretty trivial since 6.x. Prior to 6.x they were a royal pain. If you can preserve the same master server name, that will help. In my experience, it was always easier to delete all the tape devices and recreate
