I'm not sure if it has been confirmed it was an ad placed by the McCain
campaign.

Hi everyone:
Does anyone know where I might find this video? I tried YouTube, but found
nothing. I also tried PoliticalVideo.org (Which probably should be expanded to
include election video for the time being?). Found nothing there either.
I'd like to include this video on the TLWC blog if I
good point. my HF100 has stereo level monitors you can get to appear
on the display, so maybe the FS100 does too.

A mic jack without a headphone jack is an accident waiting to happen. Yes, a
headphone jack is better than no headphone jack .. b

Hi everyone:
I'm in the midst of starting up my radio & TV show now that I have everything
set up the way I want it now. Due to lack of time devoted to promotion however
(And the 1st of the month is next week), I'll likely not get started until the
week after next.
Amongst the things I'll be

Someone from BBC News Interactive just emailed me to ask me to
contribute video responses to the Presidential Debate tonight because
he noticed i am "in to video blogging".
They obviously want videos from as many different people as possible,
for inclusion on BBC World.
If you send your vid
I'm generally pretty happy with Video Edit Magic. I also use the
consumer version of Sony Vegas. I have an old copy of Premiere that I
go back to from time to time. I have an old copy of Main Actor that is
nice. (Main Actor 5 is not so great.) I use Windows Movie Maker a lot.
I use the free wmv too
Rob, that's not normal. Should take 5-10 mins to import a file that
size.
Max info about what you're doing is good here. What files are you
importing, what format are they in, etc.
If you're importing a video file from a memory card, you need to use
either the MPEG4 Project setting or iSigh
Has anyone check this out? It has some high profile companies like
Adobe and KickApps backing it or at least participating somehow.

I would love to have a player that could "do it all". I'm having our
tech team check into what it's all about.

Thanks Caleb!

Would Canon have updated the camera without changing the model number?
The reason I ask is if yours doesn't have it, why is it shown in
Thanks for the replies.
Richard, I do have iMovie and trying it out as I write. Takes an awful
long time to import the movie. (1 hr for 110MB)
Is this normal?
Also, with iMovie can you add photos/pics to the start and music?

If you're on the mac, iMovie is great (free, comes with mac). On the PC
there is movie maker (free, comes with PC), but it is really limited and
cluncky, but will work fine for basic editing. If you want to go a step up
on the PC, premiere elements is great. The education version is around $100.

That FS100 looks sweet for the price, but no mic port, which is a
killer for me. I've got the HF100 (my review here:
http://techtrek.blip.tv/#972293) and so far I'm happy, the only issues
are that sometimes the white balance seems to shift between takes, but
I'm not sure.
And you're right, I don'

Rather than try the "full" version of Vegas I would suggest the "consumer"
version ..
Is "free" small enough? Try using Windows MovieMaker before dropping a
dime on other software.
Then hit up the free trial of Sony Vegas for 30 days.

VBlogistas,
I'm new to video blogging so bear with me. I've got loads of footage,
but I need to edit it.
Any suggestions for a chap with a small budget?

Anyone with a Sanyo Xacti experienced this - when I open it up/turn it on,
it takes a longer-than-usual time for the screen to turn on, and then none
of the buttons work - the zoom doesn't do anything (even though the bar at
the bottom of the screen moves), the HD button does nothing, etc. Then,
