I searched through the list and have asked a few people but I am
looking for some real world advice here. I am going to buy and
external Mic for my camera, it's a Panasonic it's the PV-GS165 and I am
looking at the following 2 mics the Rode VideoMic and the Audio
Technica ATR-55. The Audio
I don't know about the Audio Technica but I was thinking of getting a
Sennheiser ME 66 which I've used before and gotten really great results. It
pretty expensive, needs extensions to get out of the shot on a small camera
and an adapter to plug in. So I gave the Rode Video Mic a shot and so for
I have the VideoMic and I love it. Good sound, great battery life the
shock mount helps a lot. I use it on a lot of Dragon*ConTV videos the
Dragon*Con DVD.
It is worth the extra money, IMHO.
