I'm not quite sure how how to define digital literacy, but for what it's
worth, MEF does differentiate between the terms media literacy and media
education. These terms are often used interchangeably, but, in our view, they
are different.

We just replaced our 54-volume VHS set of Through Enemy Eyes: A Newsreel
History of the Third Reich at War, with the DVD version. Any advice on what to
do with the VHS? I've offered up withdrawn VHS to the staff and donated them

We purchased the DVD from California Newsreel in 2005. Their website
indicates that their distribution is discontinued. They refer to PBS
and Auburn University. CA Newsreel may also have contact info for the
rights holder.

Be VERY careful. There are ALWAYS exceptions with distributor lists.
For some time the Chaplin Films were on WB label but they never had
any exhibition rights. I would simply NEVER trust that if film A is
released on DVD by company B that it is covered. I assume that MPLC
keeps an on eye list and
I would network with our history and political science faculty. Then,
investigate local German, Jewish, or Holocaust organizations/museums.

Just did the presentation, and it went really well-though the discussion kind
of devolved into arguments about fair use, copyright, and general dismay over
the state of critical thinking on campus.
