I think this might be a (common?) fault in the LC. At least, the 2nd -hand one that I bought exhibited this problem. Very faint internal sound. I tried cleaning the contacts for the internal speaker no luck. But resting a huge heavy monitor on the case for a month or two somehow restored the c
