Was there ever an add-on video card for the LC PDS series of computers (LC,
LCII, LCIII, Performa 475, Quadra 605, etc) ?
Anyone have any experience with them?
Were they accelerated?
Thanks.

I asked this before, but got no answers, so I'll try again.
When using the IIe emulator board in the Quadra 605 is there a way to force
the computer to re-start in Black and White, instead of color (when
emulation is on)?
I have a few old programs that are BW, and don't look good and is hard
I just bought a Quadra 605, and it came with a Apple IIe emulator in the
PDS slot.
Can you folks tell me how this works? Is there software
needed? Extensions? Control Panels? What is the triple row female
connecter at the back for? I assume it will allow Apple II programs to
work, and I
OK, I have everything loaded and working fine. Thanks all.
Does anyone know if/how you can make the computer start in emulation mode
using black and white, not color? Are there some key combinations that can
be used to switch back and forth, or to set at startup?
Thanks.

I have a working LC (original), and the case has openings for two
floppies. Right now it has one floppy and one hard drive. Is it possible
to remove the internal hard drive and replace it with another floppy
drive? I have plenty of external SCSI chassis for the HD.
I read once on some site
Anyone know of a good back-up software for the Mac (specifically a LC II
and LC III), that will allow compressed back-ups to another hard drive, or
tape drive, and includes automatic volume spanning?
Free would be especially nice. Thanks.

How do I get OS 7.1 to recognize a modem and set it up for the internet?
What are the extensions I would need, and the version numbers?
Thanks

I just got a LCIII+ board to replace a LCIII board.
I put it in, it works fine, but it runs at 25mhz, instead of 33mhz.
The LCIII+ cpu says it's a 68030 @ 33 on top, and the LCIII says it's a
68030 @25mhz.
Am I retarded or something??? (easy with the answer folks)

I just updated an LCII with an LCIII board, and my existing HD with system
7.1 will not load now. The computer stops with a screen stating this
startup disk can not be used with this Macintosh model (or something close
to that). I know that the LCIII needs System Enabler 003, which was NOT
Yes, HE meant the case; mostly.
But I also love the LC as a computer. One thing about old Apples is the
feeling each one has. I've been in computers since 1968, and the Mac's are
the ones I keep going back to for fun.
And I have my own PC computer business!

Can someone point me to where you find OS 7.1.1, I have 7.1 with update
version 3, and have scoured the Apple FTP site, but I can't find
it. Please help by supplying a link. Thanks.
