I checked the volume and turned it all the 'way up with no change. Also, the mute switch would not affect the VoiceOver volume. I fixed the issue by doing a reset of the phone by using the Assistive Touch feature in Touch in Accessibility. After that, all is working as it should. Wayne

The first thing to check is to make sure the phone is not muted. The mute or silence switch is a small switch probably on the left edge of the phone near the upper left corner. You change the switch with your fingernail. Hold the phone flat with the screen facing up. Have the phone unlocked

Hi. Sounds like the volume of your speaker has been turned all the way down. Get Voiceover speaking with the headphones unplugged, and increase it. I've had that happen to me before. Oh yeah, the volume of your headphones is independent of your external speaker, so that's probably why you hear
