Hi all, Actually, Alex ended up being there. I guess I just didn't have

I agree. I’ve never had one either until the other night when trying to set up
a new Apple TV using my phone instead of entering everything manually and I had
to set up a pass code!
I can handle one or the other but not both which it seems like that is what it
was wanting me to do!
Debbie:
I always turn off the pass code on my phone. I live alone and always am very
careful with my phone. Always thought it was a pain to put in a passcode every
time I wanted to do something on my phone.
Many people will tell you it is a bad idea, but I have had an iPhone for six
years
HI Jen,
I got it turned off and wanted to switch to the touch ID instead. I finally got
it to finish and it said that I could use my finger to unlock my phone but then
it also wanted a pass code. I don’t want that so I double tapped on cancel and
now I have neither a pass code or finger ID

Hi Debbie,At the very bottom of those settings under touch ID and passcode, then is a turn off passcode button. You'll have to enter your current passcode to turn it off.jennJenn and KumiOn Oct 27, 2022, at 2:35 PM, Debbie Downey wrote:Hello, I noticed that in the conversation about unlocking
Hello,
I noticed that in the conversation about unlocking the phone that someone
mentioned that they turned off their pass code. I would like to do that on
my iPhone 8. I checked under Touch ID and Pass Code but there wasn't
anything there to tell me how to do this.
Thanks!

Hi Ellen,
Thanks for this. I did as you suggested, and it did omit the shut down sound

I changed voices and it read it right. Then I went back to my regular voice
and it read it right this time.
Guess just changing and going back again fixed the issue.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Sieghard and all. Thanks for the info. I did finally get Wi-Fi calling set
up, however, since you mentioned screen recognition I thought it might be worth
a look. However, I can’t find it anywhere in settings. Any help would be

Much like Richard,
I can’t duplicate this bug either. I can add multiple contacts to the contact

Holly,
I just asked for a number not in my contacts and Siri spoke it correctly.
I checked under VoiceOver, Verbosity, and my numbers was set to words.
Changing it there did not change anything. I know, those are VoiceOver
settings and not Siri settings, but it doesn’t hurt to double
Since the 16.1 update, when I ask Siri to give me a phone number that is not in
my contacts, she reads the number out in billions, instead of digit by digit.
Anyone else have this or know of a fix?

Les,
Even from a locked screen, holding down the volume up button while pressing the
side power button will bring up the screen containing the button at the top to
power off your device and when executing it, I get the power off sound on my
iPhone 13 Mini.

Hi everyone. I'm having a new issue since my 16.1 update. I do not have face
ID or a passcode set up. I unlock my phone and swipe up to get to my home
screen, but, in spite of the fact that I get the expected sounds, my phone
stays stuck on the screen that gives the notifications, time, date,
I have never shut down my phone when it was locked.

Earlier this week, Maria Chapman reported difficulty in shutting down her
