I have Starke hearing aids which I can pair to my phone. I have two settings
under audio routing. The “call audio” setting is for phone calls. The “media”
setting is for sounds on the phone. I usually keep my call audio setting
paired since I find it easier to hear phone calls through my
Hi,
On which iPhone model did you install 17.1?

Hello Everyone,
So, to those of you who have updated to 17.1:
1.
Does VoiceOver now automatically read the lyrics to a song as the song is
played?
2.
Has anyone played the new News Plus crossword puzzle and, if so, were you
able to make any sense of how the puzzle is solved?
This is the first
Mark, I am not Steve, but I have no issues whatsoever launching apps using Siri
with iOS 17.1, but then again I also had no issues with the initial iOS 17.0.x
releases nor do I have issues now after installing the iOS 17.2 Developer Beta..

Hello Steve,
I was going to update to 17.1 until I read your post and then, like a
frightened turtle, decided to hide inside the protective shell of 16.7 for just
a little longer (smile).
Are you now able to get Siri to correctly launch apps in 17.1?

Hi Evan,
Try opening Settings / Notifications / Messages, and in Messages you can
turn off, Allow on the Locked screen, then swipe to the Locked Screen
Appearance heading and take a look at these settings.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool.

This is great info, Richard. Thank you.
Question: Can one delete a VoiceOver label the same way as you described,
below?
I've always wanted to try this but feared that once I added a VO label, I
wouldn't be able to delete it.

Hi Robin,
I like having my hearing aids paired with my phone. It means I can check
notifications or text someone silently without putting on headphones, which can
be convenient. I turn off Bluetooth when I want others to be able to hear my
phone.
Cheers,
Anna

I have Oticon hearing aids with MFI (made for iPhone) capability. I do have to
turn off Bluetooth, say for Jim to talk to my daughter-in-law, because if I
don't, and I'm anywhere close to him, her conversation will come through my
hearing aids.
My sighted sister and husband both got hearing
Hi,
I have my aiids connected to my phone at all times when I am wearing them. You
can turn off the aids if you wish somebody else to hear the phone I do this
when talking with my kids on speaker phone so my wife can hear.

Hi,
I am plunging into the world of hearing aids. While it's mostly because I have
difficulty with quiet voices and loud environments, the guy who will set up my
aids did tell me they can connect to my phone. I'm assuming most sighted people
only connect theirs when listening to a book or
Hi Matthew, as of now, I don’t notice any such option.

The app sounds intriguing. I have not used such an app before, but I wonder if
it has a feature where you can add past entries for years ago? That would be
really helpful for entering significant things you don’t want to forget about.
Then it would also be nice if it would integrate into the
Definitely looking forward to giving a try! Thanks for these

Paula, is your alarm set to it goes off every day at the same time or maybe
Monday to Friday at the same time? If you have 1 single alarm which goes off
every day one would assume that whatever alarm sound you have whether an alarm
tone or a song should remain once you set it. If you have a
I noticed yesterday when I had connected to Wi-Fi. I was able to get my
download done in probably about 5+ minutes, maybe a little longer. But it
installed fairly quickly.

Hey Guys,
I'm having this problem, and I can't figure out which setting I need to
fix it.
I'm in this group with three other friends, and we text each other every
so often about whatever. Whenever I get a notification from any one of
them, my iPhone 12 unlocks and starts reading it. Even if
I'm downloading 17.2 beta and I've noticed that the betas since 17.1 have been
rather large files, over 6 GB.
So it can take a while to download.

You could be right. I want no part of Apple cart or Apple Pay. I had to call

I think it is great that they have it, and probably most people want it, but

I’m presently running the public beta of iOS, 17.2, and was very pleasantly
surprised to see that the long awaited, much anticipated Journal app is finally

On my 13 pro max, my alarm tone stays the same no matter when I set a
new alarm. It only changes if I change it. I don't usually set
alarms, but it is quite easy to do and seems to work well.
