Many restaurants have web sites I have found and yes, occasionally I have gone there usually before my visit to a restaurant to check it out, also I have looked at prices in a couple of them and decided they are much too rich for my blood. -Original Message- From:

Hi Todd, This sounds like a really interesting project! Will it work all over the world or are you mainly focussing on US menu's? Also do you have any idea of the price point of the app? Louise. From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Todd Bernhard

For Mother's day, we went to the Local Olive Garden restaurant. Before we left, I checked online and they do have their menu posted so it was easy to see what I wanted before we got there. It would be grate to be able to do it from an app. - Original Message - From: Chuck Dean

Thanks for asking. The app will be FREE! And it does have menus from all over the world, but most are in the U.S. It's free and relatively easy for restaurants to add their menus, if they are not already in the system. The only optional fees to the restaurant will be for the ability to add

Hi Krister, Theoretically maybe one could read a menu with it, but I think it would be inefficient at best and painful at worst. If I am by myself meaning not in the company of a sighted person, I much prefer the interaction with a waiter or waitress to find out what is on the menu. I think I'd

The other thing is, A lot of restaurant menus are available online. You can just punch it up and start reading right off the web site. I've done that a few times, especially on dates. you want to look capable and confident even if the girl doesn't mind reading off the menu. :) I find it

Hello all sorry to be slightly ot but I have been to restaurants and the staff are more than happy to read out the menus to not only me but any blind friends I take with me. They will read it out to all of us and wait patiently for us to decide what we're having. Some restaurants we have been

Hi, Totally agree with this. I used to have the KNFB Reader and though I could read the menu I much prefer the interaction with others discussing it. I have to say the number of places doing Braille menu's, particularly chain restaurants is increasing which is nice! Louise. -Original

A lot of restaurants also have their menus on line, which you could get to with Safari, Four Square or other apps. If I already have an idea what I want to order, or I'm already familiar with the menu, then I don't mind asking the wait staff some questions. I'd hate holding up a wait person to

Hi folks, I am working on an app called All Access Menus that is designed specifically for the blind, low vision, deaf, and hearing impaired communities. It features menus that speak to you, and for you. We have tens of thousands of menus in the system so far, and growing. It knows where
