I downloaded the Nook yesterday, and this morning, I bought my first Nook
book. A big cadeaus to Barnes and Noble for putting out a very accessible
Nook app. I have yet another reason to be addicted to my IPhone.

I hope to get some feedback from list members who have not only played with
the Nook app from Barnes and Noble but who have actually purchased a book
and read it using the iPhone.
I remember seeing some very favorable comments

I've read several books using the Nook app on my iPod and my iPad. Both work
exceedingly well on either device. It's about as simple as it gets in terms of
operational use.

Hi Penny,
It has been a little while since I read a magazine on the Nook, but as I
recall, you just double tap the title of the article you want in the TOC and
are taken there. But I don't think you can read continuously from one article
to the next. I wonder if it is different from magazine to
iBooks does not stop at the end of each page if you two-finger flick down when
the text area has focus. It reads just like Nook and has always done that. It
will lose focus for me on my old iPad, so I get bounced up to the top section
of the app out of the text area when a page change occurs. Bu

slightly longer pause between pages than the Nook, but you don't have to do
anything special to have it read continuously.
I have only read free books on the Nook app, but that would be no different
than a purchased book.

The thing I like about it the most as compared to iBooks is that it will read

Hi Don, I have downloaded a book and read it continuously with just a
two-finger swipe. When I turned off the phone or exited the app and
then went back to it later on, I was exactly where I had left off
reading.
Unfortunately, there's no sleep switch - so when I accidentally fell
asleep for a ch
Hi, you can definitely read continuously. Once you are on the first
page, just swipe down with 2 fingers to start. As each page turns you
will hear the VO sound for this. It's annoying, but unless you mute your
phone, no way to turn that off. It's gotten to the point where I don't
hear it consc
