No. The way I understand it, all iOS devices charge via USB, meaning they expect 5 volts. The iPad line can take 2.1 amps, while iPhones and iPods can take 1 amp. However, using the iPad charger will cause the charger to simply deliver the 1 amp the phone needs. This is why iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
