Hi I
Please call Apple with this question. That sounds way over the top; but this is
the kind of thing you only want an answer from the manufacturer.

The actual USB cable is similar. The actual plug that goes into wall. is
different. The iPad plug is probably three times larger than the iPhone
plug.

I never realized there was a difference. I keep both chargers in the same

Hello list,
I would like to ask you for advice.
I have Iphone 4 and Ipad mini.
I got two chargers (I mean wall adapters) - one for Iphone and one for Ipad.
The wall chargers are identical.
My question is can I use one wall adapter for Iphone and Ipad? I mean as I have
two adapters, I would carry
Yes, either adapter will work for either device. The only thing to note is that

No. The way I understand it, all iOS devices charge via USB, meaning they
expect 5 volts. The iPad line can take 2.1 amps, while iPhones and iPods can
take 1 amp. However, using the iPad charger will cause the charger to simply
deliver the 1 amp the phone needs. This is why iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
This should work fine, this may have changed with the ipad mini, but, with the
regular ipads, the charger had a higher output. Most USB chargers are
interchangeable, though their output may cause some devices to take longer to
charge.
