Hi all,
In my opinion, none of them are worth their money. Unreliable at very best.
I've thecked the same thing up to 10 times and got 10 different colours.
I think we are still in the ball game of the stand alone devices which go

You need at least an inch between the phone and the item, if checking for
colour. I recommend at least the width of a hand, thumb to pinky finger,
between the phone and the item.p

I have tried color visor that is sayd to be the best.. for me the results are
indicative of a waste of money! most of the time it just says random colors...
also black when a white thing is under the phone...
If black is said when a white item is under the phone, either there is no light
in the area, or the phone is lying directly on the item which makes it become
black. Colour is based precisely on the ambiant light in the area. It is not at
all like texture.

Hi Marie. I have also had lousy luck with the color identification apps for the
iPhone. I would suggest color Reno as a good standalone alternative. Color test
may be the best, but I don't think many blind people have upwards of $800 to
pay for the best. Julia.
