hi,
I'm involved in a bit of research which involves me using the net to look for
information, obviously. many of the results are from Google books. however,

and performing OCR on it. This seems extremely labor-intensive. Have you looked
for other sources? Unfortunately, it might almost be easier

Hi all,
I am wondering how google books works. I was searching for a book, which
appears to be listed in google books. but when I actually go to search for the
book, it says it is only available in print. is this possible? thanks.
I thought all of the google books were e-books.

finally was able to play around with Google Books and was able to restore
the old version, using the website you posted. I'm back to reading again!
Thanks a bunch!

Hi, Marc
How would I get the old version from a backup? I have my backups set
to go to the cloud so I'm afraid this may not be possible for me. Any
help would be grately appreciated! :)

Hi, all,
I used to be able to use Braille commands to flip pages in Google Books.
Somehow, after I got the latest version, I discovered that I can't use the
Braille display to switch pages, nor can I use the page chooser. If I try using
the page chooser, it jumps all over the book, even
Teresa and Others,
I'm sorry, I had forgotten that the Google Books app had been updated. I've
tried flipping pages as well, and no luck. And of course, I didn't pay
attention when everyone was talking about how to retrieve an older version
of an app...apparently that's what we need to do

, Teresa,
It's the same as with iBooks, which is O chord. However, you then have to
scroll to the top of the next page. I don't know of any other way to turn
the page in Google Books, but wish there was some way to do it and you'd
wind up at the top of the next page, like in iBooks.
