Dear Listers, I've purchased the latest Prizmo 3.1.4 and installed it onto my iPhone 5C. I thought it would be a useful application to have in order to scan and have it read to me an occasional page of text such as a letter or a business card or a short text that one might be given by a friend,

First, start the app and get to the point where you are ready to double tap the take picture button, and plan to ignore what it says about positioning the camera. Scanning free-hand is tricky at best. You want to use the back camera. I'd recommend placing the phone flat on the page with the back

The front and back camera is chosen when in the camera app. OCR apps automatically choose the back camera when they access the camera. FaceTime, on the other hand, automatically chooses the front camera. If you look through the archives of this list, I have written a few messages detailing the
