i haven't experimented much with maps as, here in Ireland, in the
countryside, the maps are very lacking, but I can tell you something: when I
first tried them, using IOS 5 something, I got the same response, I.E., "no
maps available outside the US", but having upgraded to IOS 6 s

use the Apple Maps app since people were getting so lost and needed

I have had no problems operating the Maps in IOS 6, and have used this feature
to get to some places.

Hi, just so you know, even though you will have the new maps with iOS 6,
if you have an iPhone 4, you will not get the turn by turn directions
feature which 4S and 5 users have access to.
