Hi,
While I saw a brief description of the 12 volt battery case, on the
StandScan site, neither I or my partner (a veteran online shopper!) can find it
to buy. Perhaps, this explains why I never received it with my order.
Now, just a suggestion, I am sure, as has been mentioned here,
Hi Sandy,
Not sure if you missed my post from a couple of days ago, but I had written
to Harry from Standscan and asked for clarification about the 12 Volt
Battery Holder. I posted his reply which basically said that somehow they
had overlooked to make the 12 Volt Battery Holder available on

Hi Sieghard,
I am sure you are right and that there are better lights to be had.
However, to work with the StandScan, they would have to be a sort of strip
light and flat so as to allow the box to fold flat. I know nothing about these
things, but can only assure you that the difference
I tried to order the ScanPro over the weekend. I didn't find the 12v
battery holder anywhere on their page. Just the wall adapter. I also
didn't order because their page didn't link to PayPal properly. I will
probably contact the manufacturer regarding the lighting before I make
the purchase at
I ordered a StandScan Pro and 12V adapter yesterday. I also did not find the
12V battery holder on the site; even directly on the StandScan Pro product
page itself, where relevant accessories are also displayed, and you can add
them just by checking their corresponding boxes, the only things shown
Hi. ok so can someone provide me a link to get a 12 volt battery adaptor and
batteries that will work with this unit? It would be awesome if it could be
made portable.
thanks

It said the page wasn't available. I have not tried since. As far as a
12v battery kit I would need to see the contacts irst. It's possible
that you can get a 12v battey and clip it onto the unit. This kind of
causes you to lose the portability though.

Oh, OK. I'm in the states, so not sure how this would work. I never ordered
stuff from overseas, so I'm not sure what to expect.

Hello,
Any electronics shop should sell it. Wait until you receive the 12 V adapter so
you can take it to the store with you. This way, the clerk can provide a
battery pack with the proper connector. In the US, I would suggest Radio Shack.
In NZ, I would suggest Dick Smith. I do not know the
Hi.
That will be interesting where I can find such a battery pack in Denmark. I am
quite sure, I will need to order the battery pack from somewhere abroad. Can
anyone tell me, if we can get any rechargeable batterypack that will work.
If anyone knows a dealer that will sell for Denmark, it
I too have been hearing a lot about this 12v battery adapter, and have been
eagerly looking for it all over the web site. I also haven't found it.
The 12v power adapter came with my StandScan Pro, as did the 9v battery
adapter, but I haven't been able to find anywhere on the site where I
Hi Brent,
I am not sure where in the world you are, but if you are in the US you can
also order it from Amazon for the same price.
Of course it may still ship from Hong Kong *smile*. Anyhow, we have a 12%
sales tax in British Columbia, Canada where I live so if I had to pay $3.60
tax on a $30
I think you just have to buy a large backpack so you can put a 12 Volt car
battery in the pack, that should give you headlight brightness for about a
year. It will also be good for your fitness and weight loss given the weight
of the battery.
Best regards,
Sieghard

Hello everybody,
I have corresponded with Standscan before via email and just emailed them
asking to clarify the 12 Volt battery pack option. If they are as fast with
their response as last time I will be posting their reply here shortly.
I'll change the subject accordingly, like Standscan
