Neal, the earpods that came with my iPhone 5 did not have the microphone
problem you are describing but they were defective in that the volume down
button on them had no impact when depressing it. I took them back to the
Apple Store and exchanged them for a new pair which have worked flawlessly.

Hi Neil, I've noticed the same thing especially whenever I'm using Zello with
my airpod soon I believe that it is normal however whenever I'm using the
phone, meaning with the airpod and talking on the phone everything is normal
because I called myself to test that out.

Lol a friend and I were talking about the iPhone ear buds just a few
minutes ago. We had the same reaction about the size, they fall out of
our ears very easily and so are still in the box.

Yes, I have found this to be the case as well. And, you're right, they
are very odly shaped, and have a habbit of falling out of my ears. I
thought it was just me, but apparently not.

They sound ok when in your ears, but don't try to move much with them in

They slide easily into my ears, and slide out just as easily. however, this
happens with most ear buds that I have tried.
