If so try switching it to the Tom voice and that should go away.

For those for whom the power off, but hitting cancel works, do you have a lot
of apps open? I.E. have you cleared out the app switcher?
If the app switcher is clear and this method works consistently, you may want
to send that solution

you are not alone and this has been reported by quite a few users. I myself am
running beta software and have reported the problem to Apple at least twice,
with no fix thus far. It is very annoying.

If Zoom is on, it takes a three finger triple tap to mute and unmute speech.
And it takes a three finger quadruple tap to toggle the screen curtain.
The standard VoiceOver gestures for muting speech and toggling screen curtain
are used by Zoom, hence the extra tap to get
