That's so odd, Richard. I find that the document channel often doesn't work for
me, either. I usually get the message, no text, or something like that. It's
strange, too, considering I'm doing the same thing I would be with something
like KNFBReader, and that was fine. It's especially odd,

Seeing AI it’s probably the most efficient And most impressive app that
costs nothing. Maybe you shouldn’t use the app more often to get familiar and
successful with results

After somewhat frequent use, I remain fairly unimpressed. The primary reason:
the document channel. My wife (sighted) has verified that more often than not I
am getting a page of text entirely in the picture
I think the key is to hold the phone farther away from the document then you
think. There have been times when I hold the phone closer, about 4 to 6 inches
and the scan isn't very good. If I hold the phone about 10 to 12 inches away I
get a much better scan.

In most cases seeing AI works perfect when scanning.

I second that, there are times when reading and envelope for mail is difficult
but honestly I really haven’t had any issues that I want to complain about LOL

I have nearly the exact opposite experience. I seldom get a bad scan with the
document channel.

Nevertheless, my results are almost always inconsistent.
