Wouldn't the bluetooth connect if you already had bluetooth turned on, then
plugged in the reader in to the earphone jack and then turned on your
bluetooth headset?

General speaking, when you plug something in to the earphone hole, it'll
disable a bleutooth headset, earpiece, etc.
