I updated my iPhone 10Xr this weekend to 15.1. My VoiceOver Clock does not
announce the hourly time as it did in the previous version. The weird thing is,
if my phone is unlocked , the time announces. Any suggestions on how to fix

Hi Conrad,
I can definitely recommend Voiceover Clock, which is on the app store. I
personally have mine set to go off every 15 minutes but on the hour will also
work just fine.

There is also an app called chime which does the same thing. It just announces
the time on the hour, or you can have it announce it on the quarter hour and
half hour also.

I believe VoiceOver Clock uses its own voices even though they sound like
iOS speech. They are probably recordings of voices such as Alex. Because of
the name, no sounds are used. But I agree, it’s a great app and yes it is
