a lot of unwanted apps I'd like to not see

I remember that once you could delete or hide apps you didn't want to deal with. A lot of these are in ios like clips and garage band that I don't need. Can someone point me to instructions on how to do this. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. If y
