I have been using VNC for few years now for myself between unix and Windows, but now I have a need to expand my usage and I ran in to some problem that not sure about. I am trying to use VNC to support my parent's computer in FL from TX. I have a Cable modem and am behind a router firewall. M

If the address is in the range of 192.168.x.x, it is being assigned by the dsl modem. That range of addresses are not routable across the internet. You need to get the routable ip address of the dsl modem and see if you can log into it and see the configuration. You might try calling the dsl prov
