Michael,
I have no problem getting through the firewall etc. Everythng works fine. I
am just looking for a way to use VNC (viewer) on a computer on which VNC can
not be installed. So get access to your computer using a webbrowser in stead
of the VNC viewer.
This can be done from inside the n
Yes, I do. It's the sysadmin who allows everyday users to run with admin
rights, and has cmd.exe enabled for such users!

Ditto but for udpconn.
Check each and every suspect IP address shown. U
I'm afraid that I do not have the answer to your question - I hope someone
else does - but you may want to consider installing and setting up logrotate
to control the size of your log files before your system runs out of disk
space.

I honestly don't know if your passwd and machine has been genuinely cracked,
but what's wrong with either purchasing and using a more securely
authenticating version (personal, or enterprise) or spending half an hour to
learn how to set up an SSH tunnel and forwarding the VNC port through it?

You need to forward the port number that the VNC server is listening at for
http connections (typically 5800) and port 5900. The Real VNC documentation
has the required details for setting this up in the "Connections" tab of your
VNC server and a link to follow for instructions on setting up port
Hello James:
I have implemented the encoding, and so far, it seems to work well,
though I'll admit I'm testing on fast CPU's (at least 2 GHz). Please
allocate an encoding number for this encoding.
Also, a clarification on this encoding: Unlike ZRLE, a bz2tile

After the exploit was discussed and the recommendation was made
to install the updated code, I went to every box and downloaded
the free edition to each machine. I don't have the version

I will really appreciate if some one can comment on my issue with vnc.
I have configured vnc with xinetd.
I want to know if I close the open session of vnc. How I can recover it
back.
As earlier it was possible , when I use to login to my Linux server and
run the command vncserver, which u
Hi All,
I have set up vnc as a daemon mode through xinetd, it is working fine.
User give ipaddress and the predefined port number to connect the vnc
server. The only difference is now user doesn't need to login the Linux
server and generate the port number to connect the server through vnc,

Hi Ian,
KDE shouldn't be assuming the presence of DPMS support in the X server. In
this instance, Xvnc doesn't provide DPMS support because it has no physical
monitor to power-save, so it shouldn't (and doesn't) provide the DPMS
extension. It sounds like you'll need to contact the KDE developers
Hi,
Please see my response to Ivago - you must make sure that your system is
free of viruses and install VNC Free Edition 4.1.2 downloaded directly from
http://www.realvnc.com/download.html in order to be secure. The binaries we
provide are signed by RealVNC Ltd, unlike malicious "fake" 4.1.2 bin
Hi Ivago,
Please make sure that you are using a copy of VNC Free Edition 4.1.2
download directly from http://www.realvnc.com/download.html, and that you
have checked your system for viruses. We've had reports of malicious
binaries claiming to be 4.1.2 but which actually aren't, obviously intended
