Paul,
Are you sure it's not just that you're using Fast User Switching, i.e. it's
not specific to Limited accounts at all?
Cheers,

Hi Martin,
If you're referring to text clipboard transfer then you'll find that only
ASCII text is supported by the current Free Edition release. If you're
referring to keyboard input then your mileage will vary depending upon the
locale settings of the two ends.

I'll have to check. If this is the case, is there a work around? Is the
problem unique to RealVNC or do other VNC servers have the same problem?

Paul,
The workaround for VNC Free Edition is to log out the current user before
logging on another one, so that the console session is always session zero.
RealVNC is the company name and VNC the product, so I'm not sure what you
mean by Is the problem unique to RealVNC If you mean Do VNC
Hello
Apologies if this is an old question. I have been using 4.1 for a long time
and only upgraded to 4.1.2 after being hacked. I had stuck with 4.1 as I had
trouble with 4.1.2. The server runs under XP SP2 (tried both user mode and
service mode) Viewers on local W98 and remote XP. The problem is
I've been trying realvnc, it works pretty good.
I can connect two java client at the same time on the same screen, this
is nice.
I was wondering how can I define profiles to my users, I mean I'd like
to have several roles:
- active
- passive
The active ones, may connect the session and
Yes, you can vary the way that a user logs in using the Java applet - look at
the Input tab under options on the viewer - before you connect. However, I
am not sure that you can set up user profiles like so using Java. Others may
know better.

I guess my question about workaround was related to running VNC as a service
not a program. Can one workaround the Fast User Switching problem w/ VNC
running as a service.
Regarding alternative VNC servers I was thinking of open source options such
as OpenVNC.
