would like to sell. Considering the recent debate on OS X and BeOS, I
thought it would be an interesting comparison test for an upcoming WAMUG

I have noticed that there's a lot of people trying to get rid of old
gear/software/books etc on the list, and I have a bit of it myself - just
thought I'd raise the idea of a wamug garage sale, where everyone donates
all the stuff they don't use anymore the proceeds go to wamug or

I am in the process of converting a lot of fine line hand-drawn artwork to
vector format. At the moment, the software I am using consists of
Macromedia Flash 5 and Adobe Illustrator 9. (oh, and Photoshop 6).

Is there a much easier way of doing this rather than scanning in the images,
and using Flash's Trace Bitmap command? I wouldn't mind redrawing it in
by hand, but the mouse is definitely not best suited for this (BTW, the
Logitech Wireless mice are good fun to use!). Does anyone have any

From my recollection of the keynote, Apple's top end new iMac comes
in at US $1799.
... so how on earth does this correlate to Apple Australia's pricing
on the same machine to be $4195?!
Say the exchange rate is around US$1 for AUST$0.50
$1799 * 2 = $3598, not $4195.
