Can any one else suggest why my internal modem , that is not connected,
keeps kicking my bigpond adsl modem off line.

If your internal modem is not connected to anything, it is not kicking
Within the phpMyAdmin directory is a file called config.inc.php. within
it lay the default username and password pairs.
Also you may wish to actually run the command line MySQL utilities first
to ascertain if your installation was successful.

Entourage keeps asking for passwords for my mail account, even though I
entered them in accounts, they disappear. I tried to access the keychain
but that is locked even tho I'm logged in. I tried using keychain firstaid,
but that says it can't open key chain either. Anybody got a clue?

At the moment I use 2 x 15 CRT monitors (which I still hope to
upgrade to a pair of 21 CRTs as I do a lot of graphics work and they
are still a lot cheaper than flat panel options.)
What's the solution for 2 x VGA outputs?

Hm... I'm going OS soon and I wanna be able to access my address book
over the internet...
I also want to be able to *somehow* access it for use through the .mac email
service via its addressbook...
is any of this doable?
