I find hitting the hash key twice usually skips the robot on most of these sort
of menus ( or sometimes three or four times!!)

I have been with bigpond since leaving iinet in the days when they
were unreliable. I have had one long stream of uninterupted service
and support and do not feel like going back to an ISP that is
anything less

Hi All
Thanks to all those who replied to my enquiry about Bigpond.
I now have no hesitations about Bigpond if I choose to move and I am also
going to check out Westnet.
Many Thanks Again.

I don't know if many are aware of Kindle but this will excite some!

I've been with Bigpond's NextG wireless for a year now.
(After a happy stint with Westnet, it was always going to be difficult.)
Bigpond's collection of monthly fees is excellent.
Telephone support is a hassle, generally unsatisfactory.
Bigpond's advertising and merchandising is a nuisance.

Alternatively there's Stanza (http://www.lexcycle.com), which is
available for the iPhone and iPod
I did some comparisons earlier in the year and I couldn't do better
than iinet's naked DSL plans. Free calls to any landline within
australia, no line rental. $89 (30Gb peak+30Gb off peak)
Their customer service and support has improved a great deal from
last year when it was sub-optimal.
I have to agree with Paul,
my internet needs are obviously a lot less than his. I can
comfortably sit on the $50 plan. No line fees, no other phone costs.
Very quick.

Eugene

Hi, I've got a $50 per month plan which allows 20 hours per month on
Telstra 3G(not Bigpond) - with unlimited downloads. This plan is not
advertised widely I think. The faster Turbo modem allows video SKYPE
to work beautifully. cheers, Susan.

I agree with Peter. Stanza on the iPhone is a revelation compared to
the Kindle which has so many disadvantages even if we had wireless
connectivity for it here.
The Kindle is huge, angular, the screen is black and white only and
isn't backlit(!), and the device is really single purpose
Thanks to all for the answers re DVD sleeves/envelopes. Officeworks is
close, so I went to them and got their envelopes - $11 for 100. But
the Reject Shop ones would be cheaper at $4 / 100.
