Hi Kevin, Remember not all the USB Ports are equal, they don't all give the same speed. Check System Profiler - USB, on your iMac and then compare it on the MacBook. On the MacBook you will notice only one of them offers a full powered, full speed bus. The rear USB port, the one nearest the sc

Ronni, Thanks for replying.I have connected the iPod directly to the iMac USB ports with the supplied cable. When it is connected to a PC laptop it charges also on my wife's MacBook, but not on our iMac. I haven't tried it on other Macs here such as an eMac. cheers Kevin On 16
