That yellow symbol says there is something wrong with that device, usually it's drivers, and that it wont work. So it sounds like you do need to download the appropriate bootcamp and or bootcamp drivers as Patrick has suggested. I have not personally done this so I can't advise on the specifics.

There may be other reasons but this is my experience. I get a lot of PDFs from clients. Those that I can't copy from are generally scanned as PDF from the original and can't be copied by Preview. When this happens I use PDFpenPro. It does a quick ORC or the document and then you can highlight

Pat, I know of no method of making a pdf 'non-forwardable'. However, to make it more difficult for third parties to make use of an e-mailed pdf you can make a pdf where the receiver needs a password to open that pdf, and where the receiver cannot alter that pdf to remove the password
