Hi WAMUG After a couple of months of intermittent not waking up from sleep and then finally no screen but the computer is running I took the MacBook Pro 17" to a tech who said It appears that my March 2008 Mac BookPro has the faulty logic board issue. Anyone had a successful outcome with this

Same thing happened to mine. This is a known design fault with the Macbook Pro and even though mine was out of warranty Apple replaced the board for free. I paid the tech for his time. I think the tech on the Gold Coast pressured Apple for a free board because it is a design fault. regards
