Hi
In my quest to stabilise my mac I've been running a program (Checkup) which
warns that input manager has been detected on my mac and is no longer supported
by Apple, and that I should remove it. Unfortunately it doesn't tell me where
it is!
It also states that (in another area) that input ma
Hi WA Muggers
I have been receiving popups asking to download the latest version 5.0.1 of

Not sure so thought I would ask if anyone has done so and how is it going?
Im presently using version 4.0.1 and it is much more stable than the early
version of 4 or of 3.
Thankyou for any comm

I will try Bigpond again and see if it has become more reliable. Authentication

My daughter-in law ran a Snow Leopard update via the apple updater on her new

Can someone please suggest a starting point to try and resolve this please.
Unfortunately I don't know what the update was, she just

hi Derek
the phone adapter is looking like a smaller modem & just does the analog to
digital conversions needed for the phone line through internet, the phone
adapter uses a cat5 cable to the netgear router/modem
i think this adapter is not available anymore, but instead you can get
modem/router

Hello Kyle,
What I have been expecting is what Daniel describes.
What I have been getting is what you and I experience.
Now I know I am not alone, and that the list IS getting any posting I make, I'm
settled with this outcome. I tried IMAP before and for some reason was pleased

Hi Severin,
There is no problem at all with Safari. I have submitted an eCensus and
received confirmation for two households using Mac OS X and Safari.
Incidentally, if you know who will be in your house on Tuesday night, you can
submit your eCensus form online now. You will get a confirmation

That's what I fought you might be using if you can consider switching to
IMAP when someone replies to one of your "original" messages sent to the
list that message would gets move to the inbox in Apple Mail most likely.
I know IMAP i
The eCensus worked just fine for me on latest Safari, no problems at all.

I don't use gmail at all (do have account, just don't use it), but I find
when I send an email (be it a new message which I've just started or a reply
to another), I always get the message coming to me.
So I don't think it's a matter that the feature is turned off (though I
could be wrong), but pe

Yay.
Yes, this is what happens to me!!!
I use POP to access my Gmail accounts in Apple Mail
So it seems all is normal and I've nothing to fuss over. If I send a new post
to WAMUG, then I'll assume it has gone out to the list. And if I want to see my
Hi Tim
Okay I will start with the mailing list software.
Some mailing list software allows you to choose if you receive your original
e-mail back from the list, WAMUG List does not have this option this option
is set by the list administrators and I have always presumed it was switched
off as I n

Aha,
Getting somewhere.
So - when I SEND to the WAMUG list using Mail app and the Bigpond mail servers,
then my own message comes back to me via the WAMUG list as I would expect.
But when I SEND the same using my default Gmail mail server, I don't get it
back.
I don't understand why this is
Thanks for the thought Glenn,
I have checked the Gmail settings as you suggest and not found anything that
needed to be changed. All Mail was already showing.
Remember that I can receive ordinary mail that I sent to myself, just not those
that go via the WAMUG listserve when sent from my Mail
