Hi Bill Juliet,
I think I know what you mean.
After I import photos into iPhoto I give them each a relevent Title so that I
can find them and so that they are also displayed on the relevant Smart Folder.
However this does not change the file name.
So when I email any of them to friends/family
SORRY - I forgot to qualify that I don't have the answer !
However I also would be interested to know this.

Hi Stephen,
Is it possible to change the File Name whilst the photo is still in iPhoto,
seems to be your question ?
NO to your question.
You can simply NOT change Filenames within iPhoto unless you write SQL code to
do it exactly correctly so the iPhoto Library remains intact and complete.
Thanks Ronni,
I actually change the file names before importing now, but only for the past
few months.
It's the older photos that I still copy to desktop before emailing, etc.

When we look at a folder we get file names such as IMG0056, or DSC115 what
we want to do is change name to eg. Granny South so that when we want to
view a photo we know exactly which file to open.
We change name in a folder and then burn a CD but the file name reverts to
its original
