Hi folks,
I DO NOT like the way photos are grouped in date ranges in iOS8.
What a messy way of arranging them !
I tried to show a tradesman a photo this afternoon thought I had lost it.
After he left I found it amongst the quagmire of photo groups !!

Hi Stephen
Likewise on iPad.
Quagmire is a good description. I am very upset at what has happened to my
photos. My biggest disappointment is that all the Web Journals I spent hours
creating in iPhoto for iPad no longer exist as iOS8 does not support iPhoto for
iPad.
How crazy is that?
Hi Stephen
Was this in just the Photo app?
If you're looking in Photos down the bottom, which breaks it into Years -
Collections,…you can tap down the bottom of this same screen and go into
Albums.
You can then access your photos from Recently Added, Faces (if you use
that), or Albums as

I've left my iPhone 5 on iOS
This is why I posted to the list back on 7 July warning photographers that
Apple will no longer develop Aperture or iPhoto, OS X Yosemite Photos app to
serve as replacement.
Photos App will be the replacement for iPhoto on both iOS 8 and OS X 10.10
Yosemite.

The impression that I have is that an incomplete operating system has been
released prematurely and much has been made of a potential product ( the
watch), because the marketing arm of Apple is desperate to counter products
such as Samsung.
Yes, Ronda did warn against updating, but why
Hi Ronni,
I possibly didn’t fully explain my problem but thanks for all your
input. I have managed to fix up the apple id but am still unable to change the
iCloud id on the phone or iPad. I have even tried to remove the old account
but to no avail.

Just reading the posts on this it seems camera roll is not an album. It is the
pics you have yet sorted into albums grouped by date. It's like having all the
various envelopes full of pics as they used to come back from the chemist all
piled into one drawer.
You can now create albums

I did take your advice Ronni (as I frequently do) re the iCloud Drive when I
updated my iPhone.
However the Quagmire took me by surprise.
I never thought to associate the arrangement of photos on my phone with the
forthcoming changes to iPhoto.
NO probs though !
Lucky I am an optimist.

Hi John,
I surmise you no longer have access to your old email address?
Are you using iOS 7
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great follow-up information
for once you've changed your Apple ID:

Hi Ronni,
Many thanks for getting back on this one. You are correct, I no longer
have access to the old email address but will try to work through your
suggestions. Up to now I have had no success but will keep trying. I am
currently using iOS 7 and will not be in a hurry to upgrade
Thanks again for all your help Ronni. I have just now been successful and
updated the iPhone and iPad. The old password for the previous account was
hidden in 1Password (a brilliant app) but the date shown, being after my email
change, tricked me into ignoring it. All systems now working as
