monitor" power cable, but because the new iMac has a weird power
connector (in the shape of mickey mouse ears) it's a cable that I
haven't come across yet.
The back of the iMac has a plug that looks like:

I have a workmate who has recently purchased an MGE UPS unit (the Pulsar
Ellipse 500) to help protect his new iMac (flat panel) from power surges and to
also give him adequate time to back up his files if the power should go out.
However, the two devices don't connect!
