G’day Bill.
When you have the Word document open and go to Print and then save as PDF, you
can type or change the author's name then. That’s the name that comes up in
Books but it doesn’t change the name of the author within the document
properties.
You can also change the name within Books.
Hell All,
Does anybody know how to add an author name to a Word file so that when it
is converted to a PDF and sent to iPad the author name will appear when
Ibooks is opened.

Hi All and Bill
You can use VLC to play the movie. Pause the movie at the critical point and
use Mac OS X's normal screen capture commands to grab the still frames (DVD
Player does not let you do this - unless things have changed in Lion).
As others have mentioned you will require VLC, but it

Use MpegStreamclip to extract as digital video. Then play it in QT

I'm not sure whether you mean you *only* want to buy second hand ram or
you are looking also for a place to buy new ram?
Also, you don't specify the RAM you are after properly. As you know

Can anyone tell me what sort of file has a .pif extension.
Program Information File.. used by windows 3.1 3.11. It allows a
DOS or Win3.x program to be launched with extra parameters... so
(hypothetically) you could tell it to launch eudora but access the

several places including:

list .pif as also being a macintosh archive (compressed) file
I've never seen/heard of it before though...
You could risk using unstuffit...
the most info seems to be at:

If it's been emailed to you then it's going to be a PC virus. Can't harm the
Mac at all, but will cause havoc on a Windows PC.
Files with .bat and .scr are the same virus (ie SirCam).
