Glad to hear you finally got it working

I assume you mean that a USB controller on the VM was not enabled -that is

Hi Neil
It is now very interesting that you raise this as after the fix I could print
in Windows but could not print in Apple until I had closed Windows down
I had not expected that.
I guess it is not really a problem as generally I will only be in Windows when
doing some MYOB work

At the end of last week I saw on Versiontracker that HP had released an
updated printer driver (2.3.1) for use under OS X 10.2.x 10.3, and being
the eager person I am I promptly downloaded and installed the new software.
Next day I go to print something, and a dialog box comes up saying that the

We have an iMac with 64 Mg RAM. It runs the Epson 670 printer well.
Recently we bought a HP psc 1210. This copies, scans and prints.
But it prints at about one page a minute.
The copier function of the HP is fine but memory seems to be the problem. I

you may recall over a week ago I had difficulty with 2 HPsi mx printers

yes I have been on the HP support pages downloaded all the current

key word but to no avail. I'm thinking of calling it a day. Too many
hours wasted getting no where.

OfficeWorks have an HP 3325 inkjet printer going out for $49 GST inc
which is less than HP's wholesale price. The ink cartridges alone have
a wholesale price of $58 before GST so at this price it is a bargain.
Plug'n'play in OS X great little printers.

I've just done a web search and they vary from about $70 - 105 inc GST
in Oz and one UK mob has them at £94 save £5!
I've a nearly dead 930c. I know the 3325 is a base model but how would
the colour definition compare, all things being considered?

We've got a new HP LaserJet 2200dn network printer running off an

Another point no one has mentioned: It pays to check out the price of
the in carts before you buy the printer. HP carts cost in the range of
$70-90 each. Compare this to Epson carts at around $40-50. Admittedly,
you won;t find anything anywhere comparing the capacity of the carts,

We have a fairly simple and cheap parallel Laser printer on my

I just purchased one @$79.00. There begins the problem. I am

It is still a deal though and I now have to figure a cheap way of

Does that mean we have reached the point where it's cheaper to throw

Hi Bob and All,
I have it up and working in OS X Jaguar. It comes with drivers for
pre 10.1 OS X but if you are using 10.1 or 10.2 you need to get the
updated drivers from the HP website. Easy.

Yes we have
I raised this very issue, last year, with the ACCC. I mentioned that the

It appears HP have been busy of late!
I just checked out the HP driver downloads to find that my printer

that a number of other HP printers now have new driver software - so it
