Hi Stephen, I have not tested my iphone in rural or remote areas, so
can't say what the reception would be like. We may have other iphone
users in WAMUG who have travelled around using them.
For email and the other functions, I make sure I am on wireless. We
have a wireless network at home,
I spoke to a sale person at a Telstra shop last Saturday re the Next G
iPhone.
I told him that a friend of mine had dropped his and it had died.
He replied that he had been getting feedback that they are "very
brittle".
He said they do not survive dropping very well.
