disrupts the rf link (you internet through power line system) thus
average speed

How well do they go when you plug in something like a Vacuum Cleaner
and run it? I had always been told that that was the problem with
them. When you plug in something that pulls a lot of current it mucks
up your network speed. Has that been your experience?

Austin Computers had something like this in their Cannington store a few
months ago (and presumably thier other stores too)

I have no experience with them so can't comment on how effective they are.
