Because of a recurrent problem (delayed mail and clusters of non delivery
notices to various senders), my server may have to build a new mailbox. I
will need to archive my inbox and sent box. Do I use the archive facility
within Mail or will they, too, be deleted in the process?
I currently use Apple's MAIL under OS 10.1.5. Is there any way of
archiving old emails received by MAIL. I used to use Outlook Express
Archive when I had Outlook Express as my email program under OS 9.1.

You can go to any Mailbox (including the trash or sent mail) and select
all and then Save As (text file).
