I was watching part of The Carol Burnett Show last night and two alumni showed
up. David Ketchum and Jackie Joseph. David was in two episodes of TAGS and
one each in Mayberry RFD and Gomer Pyle USMC. Jackie was in one episode of
TAGS as Ernest T. Bass's love interest Ramona Ankrum.

On this afternoon's westerns on MeTV I spotted several alumni. In Bonanza
Hubcaps Lesh and Mrs. Otis Campbell showed up. In the two Rifleman episodes
Clara Edwards showed up in one and the State Inspector from the Dogs, Dogs,

I was watching the second Adam-12 episode on MeTV today and who should show up
but the party of the first part one Sam Muggins (Sam Edwards). Looks like
after Ben Weaver busted him for making moonshine he moved to Los Angeles. He
got drunk and started a shootout in the police parking garage.
After Barney's bloodhound found Ralph Neal in Mayberry, he went to California,
robbed a bank, then Gomer signed him up for the Marines.

On tonight's Gomer Pyle USMC, besides Jim Nabors himself, a whole "family" of
alumni appeared. Dabbs Greer, Claudia Bryer, Rory Stevens, and Betsy Hale all
appeared, playing all the members of a family from North Carolina on their way

Hubcaps Lesh moved to California and took up robbing liquor stores with Gomer
unknowingly helping her. Then on the evening Perry Mason Farmer Flint and Ben

I'm just watching Gomer Pyle where Sgt. Carter wants to buy his girl a watch.
He's talking to Cpl. Boyle about taking care of his mother. He says "Just last
year I bought her a new septic tank". Seems we know another person who bought
his parents a septic tank for their anniversary.
Also, she may or may not have been in this episode, but Helen Kleeb (Jess

I just saw an episode of Trackdown, an old western I'm not familiar with. In
the episode I saw, first Old Ben Weaver is fighting in the street with another
guy. Then later, he's murdered by Mayor Stoner. Funny thing, old Ben was a
former Mayor, but was the same type of character as in TAGS.
On Adam-12, Old Judd (Burt Mustin) decided to do more than disturb the peace.
He had a few at this bar and decided to peel off his clothes.

I recently watched the series finale of The Rifleman, Old Tony. Turns out the
Mark Twain episode was not the only one that used Myer's Lake. In Old Tony,
there is a scene where Mark McCain is resting under a tree. The camera turns
and you can clearly recognize Andy and Opie's fishing hole.

In Alfred Hitchcock Presents tonight on MeTV, Olan (John Masters) Soule, Joy

The grandmother on The Waltons was none other than Hubcaps Lesh. Old
Grandpa Walton didn't know what he got himself into, ha ha!
In the first season of Mayberry RFD, Bee takes a cruise. She ends up engaged
Saturday on MeTV two alumni appeared. Denver Pyle (Briscoe Darling)
appeared on Gunsmoke and James Best (Jim Lindsay) appeared on Rawhide.

This is the weekend for TAGS alumni sightings. Yesterday on the MeTV
episode of Bonanza, old Asa Bascombe appeared as a storekeeper. Then on The
Rifleman, Miss Peggy appeared as a reporter's wife. Today on GRIT TV, the
little old lady who clanked when Andy bumped into her appeared on the

On this morning's Christmas episode of Matlock, besides Andy himself, Quiet
Sam (William Schallert) appeared as a cantankerous judge.

On Wednesday's Gunsmoke Gomer Pyle's own Sgt. Carter (Frank Sutton) guest
starred as a man thought to be a retired army general's son and Mrs.
Mendelbright's con-man appeared as a retired colonel.
I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and I'm looking forward to seeing
the TAGS Christmas episod
I was watching some of the MeTV Christmas episodes today and spotted a
couple of TAGS alumni. On Gunsmoke Andy's Aunt Nora appeared as a donor to
an orphanage's Christmas fund. Then on CHiPS Quiet Sam (William Schallert)
appeared as a priest of a church whose bell was stolen.

On the first Superman episode Mayor Pike made an appearance. I didn't see
the whole episode but it looked like he was involved in something crokked.
On the second episode Clark and company go to a small town. It happened to
be Mayberry. In the beginning somebody was breaking windows. Ernest T
The Gunsmoke episode on MeTV today featured Dabbs (Naylor) Greer as
storekeeper Jonas and Edgar (Mr. Wheeler) Buchanan as a drunk Jonas tries to
help. Then on Star Trek Barney's cousin Virgil shows up as well as the town
of Mayberry in the episode "Miri".
