Hal asked if there were any lost episode of TAGS that might be good for his
community theatre group to use. Well, there is one lost episode that was for
unknown reasons never filmed. It was called "The Wandering Minstrel" and was
written for the 1962-63 season. The entire script can be found
Ben mentioned Barney's girlfriends that did not have last names, including
Juanita. In a very early episode Andy finds a note on Barney from Juanita
Beasley. This is the only time I recall them ever mentioning her last name.
In a fifth season episode (TV or Not TV), Goober is introduced as Go
How about Briscoe Darling? After Charlene and the boys left home, Briscoe
changed his name and moved to Hazzard County where he adopted those two
renegade boys, Bo and Luke Duke. I'm just glad they never visited Mayberry,
knowing how Barney felt about speeding. "You give 'em 35, they'll drive

The price seems sort of steep (199.99) but you get all three seasons. I'm not

Here's my favorite phrase from the series, and it was only used one time...
Gomer to Barney: "Why don't you just run up an alley and holler FISH!...
That's right, I said it and I ain't takin' it back!"
I've got no clue about what it means, but it cracks me up every time.

On Monday I posted for copies of digests I missed while my computer was being
repaired. So far I've gotten copies from at least five of my fellow
Mayberrians! Thanks!
You know, the nicest people in the world live in Mayberry!

Hello to all my fellow Mayberrians:
My home computer has been on the fritz for the past couple of days, so I missed

send them directly to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks!
Is there a place we can go to find old digests

I was watching the episode "Stranger in Town" from season one and I noticed
something odd that I've never noticed before (other than another actor is
playing our beloved Floyd). Inside Floyd's shop, right behind the door there
is another door leading to the beauty shop next door. I don't recal
Doug Johnson wrote "Which black and white episode that did not feature Barney
would everyone consider the funniest?"
That's easy. It's got to be "Floyd, the Gay Deceiver." It's the only episode
that features Mayberry's second funniest guy as the main character. Just
thinking about Floyd goin
