http://www.leisuredomes.com/about.htm the photo in the center cell at the
bottom needs some space between it and the text. Text is butted right up
against the photo.

There is a table property in css which might help here:
table{empty-cells:show;}. This should draw the borders around any cell which

Mark,
I put a space in each cell regardless of whether there will be data in there
or not. One space added onto the content usually doesn't cause any layout
issues and if the cell is w/o data the space will cause your lines to appear
as if there was.

I use non-breaking space to do that. The cell still looks

WinXP Pro, Firebird 0.7, 1024 x 768 - Page appears instantly. The left menu

I am generating tables and filling in cell content using php and mysql. I
have set the table border to "1" to show a simple 1px outline, but empty
cells do not show it. Is there any way to force the outlines of the empty
cells to appear, short of trying to determine if it's empty and then

All,
Thanks for all the responses, I guess I'm just too far ahead in my
technology! :D
I am proposing to do the following:
1. resize for 800x600
2. replace (for now) the background image with a transparent gif
3. remove the CSS from the menu, it looks beautiful when it works, but
