Well, now I'm stymied indeed. Eric's example at that site works as expected in
IE. So I thought that perhaps since I was adding this to existing code I was
suffering from forest for the trees syndrome. This morning, I created a new,
very simple document with one div, containing one anchor,
Scott,
While it may seem like I know a lot about CSS compared to the people on the
css-d list I'm a piker. When it comes to the browser bugs I'm not that
strong.
I'd suggest posting the issue over to that list and if there is someone who
can fix it they will tell you what the issue is.
Thanks so much, Cheryl. I wasn't sure where to look next; I thought that

resolved to, wherever possible, adopt a CSS approach to techniques that I
used to

difference. I haven't been following this thread, just the last post with
whatever original was in that. If you would like to restate the flaw that
I am suppose to be seeing, I will have another look. Offlist, if you'd
BTW, are you observing the same thing--Firefox works on that test page but
IE doesn't?
I'm seeing the same thing - works in FF, but not in IE.
Good luck, Scott.

Not at all. Maybe whatever can be found to resolve this issue will help

Sorry about the lack of context; I usually try to remember to trim messages
when they get pretty long in a thread, which is good for low-bandwidth folks

No! Please, please post to the list. I have had a similar problem
(unresolved and almost abandoned). And I hope some solution emerges.

Joseph, read thread from beginning and the whole gruesome tale (including
the solution by Drew) will unfold.
The css-d list is definitely a heavy traffic one if you consider up to 100
posts a day 'heavy'. Usually it is around 50 plus or minus 25 but there have
been days with significantly more than a 100 posts.g
