Deb, Make sure you burn a set of recovery dvds (or cds depending on which your system makes) if your machine did not come with them before you do anything else. The reason some computers ship as FAT 32 instead of NTFS is so that you can boot to a recovery partition to reinstall the OS, etc. if som

Hi, I am trying out a new backup program for backing up to my external hard drive. Well, it's thrown at me that it can't back up to a FAT32 system w/o me breaking it down into 2G increments (I think NOT!). It offers a way to convert the drive to NTFS. Do I want to do this? It's a new mach
