Guys; The problem I see with wget tar functionality is forming each of the tar file headers. Each download would have to be completed before the header is created, sum check, no of bytes etc. Only then could wget add the file to the proposed tar file. Regards Ian

I apologize for re-posting but I didn't get any answer the first time. Is it possible to communicate with wget? I want it to report what is it doing, what is the size of the downloaded file, etc. I would use it for a downloader box with remote access for a LAN.
